  Meeting in
  Paediatric
  Neuromuscular
  Rehabilitation
Dear Delegates

We wish you a warm welcome to the 4th International Meeting in Paediatric Neuromuscular Rehabilitation in Denmark on May 18th - 20th 2006. More than 150 people from 18 countries around the world will attend the conference to learn and discuss at a practical and theoretical level about the rehabilitation of children and youngsters with neuromuscular disorders such as the muscular dystrophies, myopathies, spinal muscular atrophies, peripheral nerve disorders and myasthenia gravis.

  18-20 May
  2006

  Denmark

  Theme:
  Preparing for an
  Adult Life with a
  Neuromuscular
  Disease

The aim of the conference is to stimulate interdisciplinary contribution in rehabilitation by highlighting body functions as well as activity, participation, and environmental factors. Thus, the programme has been based on the WHO International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health.

To an increasing extent those children, whose diagnoses would formerly imply a short life span, nowadays gain an adult life. The positive perspective has been chosen as the superior theme of the conference. How can we, as professionals in rehabilitation, in the best possible way contribute to form the basis of an adult life?

Workshop and poster sessions based on submitted papers will contribute substantially to the conference.

As in former years the conference will last for three days, and besides the professional part it will provide an opportunity for informal social get together at the conference centre, 'Vingstedcentret', situated at the countryside in a very attractive part of Denmark.

On behalf of the Organizational Committee.
